Sundays, starting February 22 for six weeks @ 11:30 am after coffee and donuts We will meet in class rooms 1&2. Deacon Mike will present Scott Hahn’s The Bible and Prayer. It’s no exaggeration to say that prayer and its relationship to the Bible are among the most important topics we can examine. That’s because we come to know God through the Bible, and commune with him through prayer. They’re meant to go together. In fact, an entire section of the Catechism of the Catholic Church is dedicated to prayer. “The Church knows that we can’t make it through this life and into heaven without the power of prayer. It is the beginning of a relationship meant to last for an eternity.” Scott Hahn

Whatever was written previously was written for our instruction, that by endurance and by the encouragement of the scriptures we might have hope." Romans 15:4 Please join us on Saturday, February 28 for an enlightening presentation on "Praying with Scripture". The Bible truly is the Word of God present and speaking to us today. Discover the messages God has for you by learning to pray with Scripture during your Lenten journey. Praying with Scripture brings about growth in faith. Find points of intersection between your life and God's message in Scripture. Mrs. Jean Schaub will open us to attitudes of reverence, listening, and discovery in our prayer life. Jean has been active in church ministry for over 30 years. She is the retired Pastoral Coordinator of St. Mary on the Lake Church, and also served at Queen of the Miraculous Medal Parish as DRE and Pastoral Associate. She is an instructor in the Christian Scriptures for Siena Heights University. The day will begin with Mass at 9 am. A continental breakfast will follow Mass. Jean will speak from 10 am until 11 am.
