Wednesday Dec 2, 2015 12:15 PM to 2:00 PM
Our Wednesday afternoon women’s Bible study will continue this year beginning September 16 at 12:15pm. The book of Job tells the story of a righteous man who is overwhelmed by suffering and complains to God until God comes to speak with him. The stage is set for Job's suffering when God praises his servant Job to the Satan, who vehemently asserts that Job is only righteous because God has blessed him in every way. Take away his blessings, the Satan claims, and Job will curse God. In an age where suffering was seen as a sign of punishment for sin, Job's suffering is doubled when all his friends impugn his character as they witness his sorrows. This story speaks eloquently of the mystery of human suffering. Listen to God's Word in the midst of pain. All women are welcome to join.

The Bible & the Virgin Mary is a dynamic six-part video series that beautifully explains the Catholic truths about Our Lady showing how she has been a part of God’s plan to bring salvation to the world since the beginning of time. By the end of The Bible and the Virgin Mary, you’ll understand why Catholics honor Mary as the human person who most perfectly conforms to the image of God. She’s an icon of what we are to become. The series will run for 6 weeks on Sunday evenings in room 10 in the religious education hall from 6 – 8pm. If you are unable to attend all 6 sessions you can make them up on line.
