My name is Deacon Wayne Slomiany, I have been married 41 years to my wife, Carol. We have 5 grown children and 4 grandchildren with a new grandson due very soon. I graduated from the University of Michigan with an Engineering Degree and am retired from my job in the computer industry. I received a Master’s in Theological Studies from Madonna University in 2005.
I am a Permanent Deacon, here at St. Mary Catholic Church, participating in multiple commissions and am a Procurator and Advocate, working on decrees of nullity, for the Diocese of Lansing.
I have been active on the Board of Catholic Schools, my past Parish Council and various other Boards and Councils. I am a Former State Director of Vocations and Evangelization and am a current Church Director for the Knights of Columbus. I have led the drive for the placing of two Ultrasound Machines at pregnancy help centers. I am a Knight Commander in the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre.
